Welcome to the forum,
Do you know when it was last on the road?

hi my dad sold the car in 1984 I then got a letter from a Barry causey from wigan in 94 saying he had just bought the car so I rang him and had a chat about it , it was the same as when it left us in gray primer with full race engine dry sump and wot not.
He said he would keep it touch but not herd of it since

KYU 345D is not on the DVLA computer as either a Lotus or a Ford so it has probably not been on the road since their new system went live in 1983.

Maybe you should quote a chassis No then, rather than VRN?

I have three sightings of this one, all in 1998.

The car is mentioned in a letter from Eddie Ganderton (from York) in the Spring 1998 Quarterbumper, Eddie mentions he has just restored the car and is looking for history of it.

A photo of the car appeared in the September 1998 Newsletter from the MK1 OC, the car was at this club's AGM that year.

Finally it is mentioned in the Autumn 1998 Quarterbumper, as an attendant of the event mentioned in the previous sentence.

As this car was reportedly fully restored less than 15 years ago I suppose chances of it still being around are high, maybe Eddie knows more?

Hi,
Barry Causey is still around and last I heard, still had a Mk2 L/C that I put him on to a couple of years back. Can't remember whether he's still got the MK1. He did mention it, when we last spoke.
I'll dig out his number and give him a call next week.
