THE JIM CLARK CLASSIC
The Jim Clark Classic, which is part of the main Jim Clark Rally for
modern vehicles running on closed roads in the borders around Duns, is
designed to celebrate the life and achievements of Jim Clark, arguably
Scotland’s greatest ever racing driver. The Classic is a unique event in
combining the delights of a touring event from Hockenheim to Duns
with the opportunity to run on the Duns Super Special closed road stage
through the town on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd where the rally
organisers are also planning a show centred around Jim Clark and
Scottish motor sport heritage.
Other closed road stages will also be available, running ahead of the International rally on the
Saturday. As these will be demonstration runs, rally licenses, FIA papers, roll cages, etc will not be
required although if you wish to go at speed a little underbody protection is advised.
Entry is available by invitation only as numbers are strictly limited to 20 pre-1969 vehicles – with
preference given to Jim Clark era vehicles.
The event starts in Hockenheim at the Jim Clark Memorial and will visit scenes of his glory days,
including the Nurburgring, Spa, Reims, Brands Hatch and Oulton Park before heading for Duns.
Hotel accommodation will be the best available, including staying at the luxurious Roxburghe
Hotel near Duns for two nights.

Hi Andy

If we can get the car prepared in time we're looking at entering this event. Their website is down at the moment, but do you know how long these events have been running etc?

In summary, do they have any history or is this a new venture?

Thanks
Clive
