Whilst looking at the classified ads in a January 1976 copy of Motorsport I found this.
1975 LOTUS Cortina Mk11 JAL 88N.
(Not re-registered-but new), 3,000miles.
D1s, casette £1,495 Derby 672978
That has to be the latest registered Lotus Cortina and I wonder what the story was and if it made it to the present day.
I checked with the D.V.L.A. website and it was first reg 01 04 1975 and date of last liability 01 12 1987. Also shown as white and 1558cc. I hope it didnt die in 1987.
